  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups diced apples (preferably Granny Smith)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. Slowly incorporate the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the diced apples and brown sugar until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each pastry.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown and fully cooked.
  8. Allow the pastries to cool slightly before serving.

Chef’s Tip: Drizzle a simple mixture of powdered sugar and milk over the pastries for an extra touch of sweetness!
