Endive Fondue with Smoked Sausages

Instructions :

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven : Set the temperature to 180°C (thermostat 6).
  2. Prepare the endives : Wash them, remove the damaged outer leaves, and cut them into thin strips.
  3. Cooking the sausages : Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook until golden brown. Remove from the pan and cut into rounds.

Assembly

  1. Arrange in the dish : In a gratin dish, start with a layer of endives. Then add a layer of sausage slices, then sprinkle with grated Gruyère cheese.
  2. Season : Sprinkle salt, pepper and nutmeg on each layer before adding the next.
  3. Add the cream : Pour the crème fraîche evenly over the top of the dish.

  1. Bake : Place the dish in the oven and cook for about 30 minutes, until the cheese is nicely browned and golden.
