Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • Place the raisins in a bowl, cover with hot water, and let them steep.
    • In another bowl, combine vegetable oil, granulated sugar, and vanilla sugar. Mix well.
    • Pour kefir into the bowl with the oil and sugar mixture. Stir to combine.
    • Add baking soda and salt to the kefir mixture.
    • Gradually sift in the flour, mixing well to form a dough.
    • Once the dough is formed, add the soaked raisins and mix to distribute them evenly.
  2. Assemble and Bake:
    • Transfer the raisin dough mixture into a greased baking dish.
    • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
    • Bake the pie in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Finish and Serve:
    • Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool slightly.
    • Optionally, dust the top of the pie with icing sugar before serving.
  4. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Slice the raisin pie and serve it warm with a cup of tea for a delightful treat.
