My grandmother’s kale cigars


Preparation:
After cooking the rice in salted water, set it aside.
Set the oven at 180 degrees.
Mix the rice, egg, salt, pepper, minced meat, chopped garlic and onion in a bowl.
In another bowl, mix the tomato paste, tomato sauce, brown sugar, extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice.
Slice the heart of the cabbage with a knife and cook it for 5 minutes in boiling water.
Carefully remove and remove the leaves. Leave to cool.
Build the cigars by placing 4 tablespoons of meat on a previously laid out cabbage leaf. Wrap. Until there is some meat left, continue.
Pour some sauce into the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the cabbage leaves inside and pour the rest of the sauce over them.
Bake in the oven for an hour, covered with aluminum foil.
Serve hot.
